The night watch.Exhausting, overwhelmingly so at times, sometimes even maddening, yet of utmost importance. In times of war, the performance of the watchers was the difference between a safe city and a ruin.Therefore, the members of the watch had to be keen-eyed, patient and resistant men.Night after night, until the war has ended, the watchers counted the seconds till the breaking dawn of every morning.Hoping no invaders come, hoping they will see they light of a new day.One more watch has ended as the day finally sets in.The exhausted and now sleepy watchers go back to their families, where they expect nothing but a warm bed to rest their weary heads on.
