Maya, or the Filipino for sparrow, is the symbol of the once greatly evolved civilization whose name it proudly bears.Even though its age has long ago extinct, words of its greatness are passed by through this little, common yet formidable creature.As it looks far into the deep sky waiting for something to happen, as it clings to the wish that its people would rise again, it gives us all the hope that tomorrow would be a better day, thus giving us another reason for valueing life.
