The Beacon

In a schorching day of spring, so hot that the sky reflects a dark blue from the warmth, The Beacon stands firm on a side of the railway, ready to light up the way for the incoming trains scheduled for the night. For most of humans it is a lifeless object, yet every suffocating day you can see it mourning as the Sun mercilessly fries its metal plates and pigeons constantly demean it in their own ignorance.Yearning to be alife as it is, The rusty Beacon continues to keep watch and fulfill its foredoomed role.
